Two obvious questions: * Does inputenc.sty exist on your system (somewhere in your TeX distribution). * Can TeX find it if it does. Run texhash to update your TeX distribution. If it ain't there, try CTAN (http://www.ctan.org/search). I searched under inputenc.sty and it came right up. Angus

Hi, I am HAPPY, I have the Lyx logo on my Win98 desktop! And even better, I can marginally use the program. However, I have a slight problem (there may be many to come because I am no efficienado when it comes to hacking) I cannot either view PostScript nor can I print from it. I get the

Tried reconfigure and no luck. Is still asking for "geometry.sty" - could it be a file that is missing or needs to be relocated? maybe that it's missing. let it search by the explorer, than you are sure. you can get it at CTAN. but dont't forget to do a texhash after installing.
