Lieber Horst, es handelt sich wohl kaum um elitäres Verhalten, sondern eher um knappe Mittel, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Übersetzung der Handbücher sehr viel Zeit und Können bräuchte. Aufgrund der politischen Entwicklung der letzten zwei Jahrhunderte ist das Englische -- sehr reicher Wortschat

Problem with META-Key

Hi, I'm running Lyx 1.1.6, with German menus on a Linux box (Redhat 7.0) with KDE2 as windows manager. I use a German keyboard with 104 keys. If I try to format a paragraph via keyboard commands, maybe with M-a4, a menu-item "*A*npassen" pops up immediately after I press M-a. Other Meta-Sequence

Yes, I needed that and it got me past the configure step but now during 'make' I'm getting another error, something to do with 'Object' ??? Some of the text looks like this: In file included from formula.C:30: ../../src/minibuffer.h:17: using directive 'Object' introduced ambiguous type '_Object

Launchers and stuff are handled in several different ways by the several different window managers out there. Both Gnome and KDE provide easy ways to set these up, and you can tell them to use the LyX icon provided. For window manager that don't provide launchers, less elegant solutions include

Win32 port of Lyx 1.1.6 available

It was a hard work because of many (non-LyX!) problems on my system but now it's available and can be downloaded as usual here: http://www.fh-hannover.de/mbau/tim/hentschel/lyx/index.htm A new web pages tells all about the Win32 specific features! Because of a new Lyx file format with Lyx 1.1

Hi, While making slides, I can not seem to use the figure floats. If I enter a figure without a float, that is fine, but then when I define a caption field, I get errors too. Any idea? Remzi
