fate of foiltex class

Whats going on with the foiltex classes? Because they are non-free they have been removed from tetex and many distros... it appears I need to migrate to seminar. Is there a good FAQ on the new seminar.layout? I'm still using 1.1.5fix2, which is the currently maintained debian package. --

Hi, Currently I run LyX 1.1.5 fix2 in LinuxPPC, aside with mol (Mac OS emulator). I'm quite happy with the current set up. I'm just wondring if it is possible to compile LyX in the coming mac os x. Anyone tried it on the public beta of os x? Does it need Tenon's X tool? Thanks.

Just because it's not in a distro doesn't mean you can't install it yourself. The license restriction only stops redistribution in exchange for money. This is btw a strong argument for _not_ including it in the LyX distribution since this would mean distributors might drop LyX for this very

?requirement to compile LyX in Mac OS X?

Hi, Currently I run LyX 1.1.5 fix2 in LinuxPPC, aside with mol (Mac OS emulator). I'm quite happy with the current set up. I'm just wondring if it is possible to compile LyX in the coming mac os x. Anyone tried it on the public beta of os x? Does it need Tenon's X tool? Thanks.
