I have just installed lyx-1.3.4 usual thing (as root) tar -jxf lyx-1.3.4.tar.bz2 cd lyx-1.3.4/ ./configure make make install when I run lyx as anyone other then root it spits out the following stuff and cant find any classes. anyone know why? O and I have done a reconfigure and restart. thanks

blue underlines

Hi, since I opened up a new file to split my thesis in lyx 1.3.4, I got blue underlines under every word (blanks are left out). I'm not aware of any changes in document style or anything like that. How can I get rid of the blue underlines, they are sort of annoying. tia -j

Every time I start to use LyX I move the one-line command buffer from the bottom of the window to the empty space on the right end of the row of hieroglyphic buttons, just under the menu. Is it possible to have the command buffer occupy that space automatically? It's a very minor point but

Hi, I am writing an article using the Cygwin version of LyX 1.3.1 on Windows. I then export the article to PDF using pdflatex. After upgrading to the latest MikTex, the PDF file has bookmarks and colored cross-references. I am amazed how smooth this works. This mail started out as a question on

On the rare occasion when LaTeX doesn't know where to hyphenate a word so it sticks into the right margin, I either tell it where to hyphenate or rewrite the text so it fits a justified line. But, what am I to do when a quotation has an overfilled line or three and the rightmost word in the line
