I am very new with both Lyx and Tex... I installed everything (including the cv
package for miktex) on XP, but when I try to use CV, it tells me the class is
missing. It seems like a common problem, but were unable to find any solution
on the web...

May I suggest the following experiment? Open a DOS prompt in the home
of an EPS file and run 'convert -verbose whatever.eps
Newer mind, I solved the issue! After installing the packages in MIKTeX I
needed to run Refresh FNDB AND Update Formats from MIKTeX Options!
