I am a new LyX user. I particularly like the instant preview feature of the
LyX math typing environment and actually this is my primary motivation of
trying out LyX.
I want to ask if there is a way to make math symbol panels always appear as
a toolbar in the toolbar areas of the LyX GUI
Is there a way to mark an equation to be labled automatically, and make it
work with instant equation previewer?
I am using the latest 1.4.2 Lyx on Windows XP SP2.

what is the key combination sequence to add a column?
I found Ctrl - Enter can add a row, but adding a column needs Ctrl W,
then press I, and then press C, this is too troublesome,

thank you for your explanations. I think you are right.
I copied text and parameters into a new created file and everything worked
again. So the profile of the old file was definitly corrupt.

all over again (from source code, of course). The real problem is Theorems,
Lemmas, etc appears in English and I need appears in Spanish. Now the
definitions of theorems are

When I insert an eps graphic in my document pdflatex gives an error:
unknown graphics extension .ps
The extension doesn't matter, I allways get that error. Without graphic,
pdflatex works fine. PS2PDF also works, but doesn't look as good

In the default Article class, the standard indentation for List is pretty deep.

images that didn't display in DVI are now showing.

I think I needed to be a bit more specific in my original question, so
let modify my original question.
I would like to insert a ctable in my lyx document and have that table
included in my List of Tables in the TOC and be a able to
cross-reference the table in text.

So far everything is working as you predicted. It makes the writing
environment much more humane, (given whatever it is about me
and some others.) I recommend giving it look to those who might
think it is a matter of indifference.
I have not yet tried it on the quotes via stdlayouts.inc.

itial, quotes you want. The remaining straight quotes will
be final or right quotes, and you can search and replace them with proper
right hand quotes without worrying about spaces.
Obviously some things will fall between the cracks.
But perhaps your difficulty is more technical than I am thinking.

advantages to doing it with XSLT: you can export from within Freemind,
and you're using an engine designed for this purpose, so you can
concentrate on the transformations rather than the implementation.)
