I am working on the Lyx Tutorial, in particular the
Templates. I can pull up the various templates listed
under FILE New from Template, but only after a pop
up error message that reads:

The document uses an unknown textclass IEEEtran. Lyx
will not be able to produce

Went to a couple of sites: one was missing the
makefile info

with the table. I would prefer to have the Table
description right on top of the table in the same
