puts the first line in..
(I had the same problem converting letters between different
classes)
Try getting a template (there must be some lying around) and modify it.

have a look at the line in the .lyx file starting with \lyxformat?
It should be:
\lyxformat 2.16
or
\lyxformat 2.15 (for 1.0.x version)
yeeaah, I had a look at the headers (thy are all OK: 2.16) and I
h reducing the optimization doesnt bring a change apart from slowing
down.

thought that it might be of general interest that I solved the mysteries
of runtime errors (didn't detect the lyx-version correctly) when compiling
with an athlon-optimized gcc-2.95.3.
The error is easy enough once you know where to look:
Line 1097 of buffer.C compares the float read

another way is to switch over to text-in-formula-mode (toggle the math-button) and

I suggest upgrading to lyx-1.1.5fix2, but Iam sure that waht herbert described (that
was what I usually use) worked in almost all lyx-1.1.* versions.

I'm being forced to produce a layout for a magazine.
I've been succesfully playing around with the graphicx-package and got
some nixce results;-)
Well, now they complain about my document not being in cmyk, but in rgb
colorspace.
Is there any way to convert my ps to
not really keen on converting them all manually

Hi All!
Don't know whether this is lyx-related..., but is a rather strange
behaviour and might be of interest.
since this year (stress on THIS) the documents I wrote last year (or the
ones I start now) seem to
get corrupted during export to pdf (no matter, whether ps2pdf or pdflatex
is used).
well, answering myself..
compiling lyx-1.1.6 works... (at least without -fno-rtti and using the
system's string classes)
