Export a PDF file

I was just wondering what is the most consistent way to generate a PDF document that is 100% readable by someone using Windows and Adobe Acrobat? I find that it is hit and miss when I generate a PDF from within LyX. For instance I exported a document last night and find that I can only view it

I opened the file with a PDF and PS extension in Ghostview and it is fine (although the ouput is pretty rough looking considering the font was set as pslatex). But if I try to convert it to a pdf Ghostview crashes. I think you are right about it being a postscript file. Here is the start of
