Everyone, thank you for your help with setting the preferences on a Macintosh
to use BibPath, a different .bib path by default.
Based on the links you provided, this worked for me:
1. sudo su
2. vi /etc/launchd.conf
3. Make this a line in that file (no quotes): setenv BIBINPUTS BibPath

1) In finder, choose Go-go to folder... /etc
2) Edit launchd.conf This file may not exist.
In that case create it. Make sure it's called
launchd.conf and not lauchd.conf.txt
