Hello Jonathan, Presumably you are asking about the BBC iPlayer on a Mac rather than on an IOS device. the bad news is that the BBC iPlayer uses Adobe Flash which is not accessible on a Mac. So you cannot see the play etc buttons which you can see with JAWs. the good news is that you can use
