ITunes doesn't manage updates to mac based apps, that's the job of the app
store. I have gotten this before, not sure what I did to solve it though

My guess is they installed OSX from scratch, and by default it hides hard
discs. Open your finder preferences and check to see if hard discs are
checked to be shown I believe when you first open that pane. That should
solve the issue for you.

Hey all, has anyone managed to get the latest version of mudder to work? When
ever I try to connect it pops up an alert saying I need to enable voiceover
being controlled by apple scripts for this feature to work but I do have that

I personally wouldn't hold to old versions unless there is a verified reason
not too, apple has been reasonably good at keeping voiceover working in
their own products

My advice for you is to try and use the mac as much as you can instead of
trying to mix windows and mac especially with you trying to transfer over.
Makes things a little tricker to learn. If you listen to podcasts about the
mac you can catch on to voiceover very quickly, that's how I learned it
getting my computer today, so I'll be playing with it

That's exactly what it's designed for, boot windows with the vm and jaws
comes up like it was it's own system. It's sharing resourses with your Mac
OS so it might not react exactly the same but it's pretty much windows on
it'w own with a few tweaks here and there.

Hey all,
I've been having an odd issue with growl 1.3. It worked perfectly when i
first reinstalled it after redoing my mac to lion however now growl
reads no notifications at all from any program. My settings are set
right notifications set to speech and all but i get nothing. Any
in its thing if the app uses growl and you have it set up to
do so.

Check the silent mode switch above the volume buttons. if that switch is
towards the back of the phone flick it so it points more towards the screen.

I personally wouldn't use time machine as it can only be reverted back by
time machine itself. I'd look in to carbon copy cloner or something similar
that does a full drive image that way you can boot to the USB drive if you
have too to restore your mac.
