sane-backends can't be verified

etpan fails with errors

A few weeks ago I built etpan on 10.3 w/o errors. Now in 10.4, with the latest MacPorts and Xcode (clean download and install of both), I get errors --- Building etpan with target all Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command cd /opt/ local/var/macports/build/

I've just upgraded from 10.3 to 10.4 and immediately prior to that I upgraded MacPorts. The macports upgrade went smoothly and everything was working. Following the OS upgrade I see this message when I try to sync or upgrade. can't find package macports while executing package require

I've just done this and it suggests checking /opt/local/var/db/dports and move the left-overs manually. Looking in there I can see two directories, build and sources. build contains a lot of stuff and sources contains one file, _dpupdate1. Is there any reason to move or keep these files? malcolm

Bluefish v1.0.7 (stable) builds and runs without alterations

Bluefish is at v1.0.5 in ports. I've just downloaded the source code for bluefish v1.0.7 (stable) from the bluefish site. It compiles and runs on my machine (PPC GC 600MHz, OS10.3.9, xcode v1.5) without any alterations. Here's a list of the changes. Bluefish 1.0.7 (05 November 2006)
