Normally, you should find it in /Applications/MacPorts/QGis

Just compress it, using bzip2 or whatever you prefer then.
Text logs always compress very well so it will be much smaller...

ok thanks, made some progress.
1. deleted the standalone /Applications/GRASS-6.4.app
2. `sudo port clean qgis`
3. `sudo port install qgis`
