Sorry, I ought to have been more specific. To demonstrate the voice issue
as that is clearly access related.

Its why I made the suggestion right above her amusing description of
Samantha.

I was Kinda surprised by that too, Brad, and they didn’t say. The only reason
I can imagine is that the two issues started at the same time, so it does seem
like there’s a possibility that they are related.

I don’t see how this could have anything to do with accessibility.
This seems like a blow-off move.

I heard back from Apple. They are looking into the Samantha issue. They’ve
suggested I call accessibility to discuss the battery issue. I will do that
when time permits.

Mine is using Samantha right now, and I absolutely can’t get it to change back,
no matter what I do. That voice really grates on me. She sounds like she has
been out drinking and smoking all night and has a bad hangover. Lol

I just saw that language switch thing yesterday. I had never seen it before. In
my case, I have Samantha set, but then it sometimes just switches to Russian,
which I also have. But I don’t want it except if I’m trying to read Russian,
which I don’t usually do on the watch.

Oh, wow! That must be really annoying. It’s bad enough with both voices
speaking English. I will write to accessibility right now.

Hi!
Yes I have that Samantha thing happening too and I am using Swedish Alva.
It takes time to switch her back to Swedish and stop her from speaking Swedish
with the Samantha Voice.
So write to the accessibility team and I will give them feedback as I am a beta
tester.

Oh, and one more weird thing. This one happens during the day, when not in
sleep mode. My watch keeps switching back to Samantha. Currently, I am unable
to get it back to Siri voice 4, my usual voice.
Thanks,
Donna

Hi Gabe,
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve tried that, with no change. In fact, the
problem is getting worse. Last night when I went to bed at ten, it was at
100%. When I woke up at 3:30 this morning, it was down to 56%. But it’s
definitely related to sleep mode. When I get up, I force
Hi, I'd also double tap the side button to bring up the app switcher and close any apps that appear like they might be battery drainers. Heck, if your battery is draining that fast it might be worth closing all apps and then restarting your watch again Gabe On Apr 24, 2024, at 7:44 AM, 'Donna
Did that. I have been force powering it off every morning since this started.
Once I do that, everything is back to normal, but then the next night the same
thing happens.
