Just wondering if Mailman supports any sort of canned moderation
responses. I don't see anything in the admin interface, so I'm
doubtful. I'm thinking of a pop-up menu that lets you select from one
of, eg.:

nice idea
I have a large mailing list of about 500. Concurrently there is a
maintained MySQL database that includes a column with these email
addresses.
Would there be any possibility of getting mailman to draw the list
from MySQL thus making updates automatic?

I've just started playing with Mailman, version 2.0.6. I've noticed an odd
behavior with the listinfo page. After creating a couple of test lists,
I realized that neither were showing up on the default listinfo page,
even though both were set to be advertised. They did, however, show

(Lynx) and it is a bit awkward to access the web interface and work from
