Apparently the offending attachments are specified as gb2312 (a common
Chinese encoding).
Is there something I can do to somehow preprocess the archive mboxes, or
otherwise re-encode the attachments?

I could not find the documentation that I read previously on how
to install mailman so that each virtual domain has distinct lists.
For example they may have the same listname ad are distinct by
the fact that they are in another domain.
Would someone please point me to the instructions.

I am having trouble with all of my lists. I can send an email to any of
them, the mail shows up in the archives, but doesn't distribute to any
(including poster) members. This was sudden, I hadn't logged into admin on
any lists.

I just checked and unfortunately, both the variables are set as you
suggested -- generic_nonmember_action is 'hold' and forward_auto_discards

I've realised my mistake, apparently mailman was installed in
/usr/lib/mailman instead of /var/mailman, since i had just copied and
pasted the /etc/aliases file it saw some conflict there, i didn't know
what version was installed prior to my install

I have few member lists under Mailman and I came across a situation where I
would like to remove quite some members from different lists. What I'm doing
now is browse through each list, searching for the particular email address
and delete it. This method cost me alot of time.

What connects mailman to apache can be answered two ways, both are
important.
1) The proper URL, which makes sure you're connected to the right
server, and it has the right path to get to the mailman cgi.
2) Apache must

fine on that domain. It's just on this 2nd domain that it is failing,

that a message has bounced?
I'm not sure if this is in a log file that is human readable, or in
another place that is even viewable through the mailman interface, but
I can't seem to find a way to find this info.

reason, I can't reach the admin page for the 'mailman'
list-- it simply redirects me back to /mailman/listinfo.
So I'm getting daily reminders that I can't stop, because the web admin
interface doesn't appear to allow access to the special 'mailman' list.
How can I fix this?
