What state of pre-release? Beta? Alpha? What is the proposed release date?

Where can I find a feature list and documentation for Mailman 3.0

I don't even know what this entails yet, but it sounds very exciting for
 Mailman users.

I found a few links:

http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/Mailman+3.0

http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/Web+Interface

http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/2010/09/21/Mailman+3.0+alpha+6

https://launchpad.net/postorius

If anyone knows of more info, I would appreciate the links. Thanks.

The announcement was posted simultaneously to this list
http://mail.python.org/pipermail/mailman-users/2012-March/073089.html,
mailman-developers, mailman-i18n and mailman-announce.

You can find lots of stuff in the wiki at
http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/Mailman+3.0 and
http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/Google+Summer+of+Code+2012 and
elsewhere.

Barry gave a talk at Pycon http://pyvideo.org/video/688/mailman-3.

There are lots of docs in the code trees at
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mailman-coders/mailman/3.0/files and
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mailman-coders/postorius/trunk/files.

They are different things. Mailman 3 is the core mail list manager.
Postorius is the web UI component.

How can we upgrade the Mailman version 2.14 to new 3.0?

We haven't yet got a clear migration path. At this point, Mailman 3 can
be used in a test environment (or production if you're brave) with new
lists. Migrating existing 2.1 lists will definitely need to be
handled, but it isn't there yet.

They're different but related applications. Mailman handles mail and
provides an API for administration, including user management.
Postorius provides a web UI for administration.

 which one is better?

Both together.

How can we upgrade the Mailman version 2.14 to new 3.0?

If you have to ask, Mailman 3 is not ready for you. For one thing,
there is no Mailman 3.0 yet; it's still in pre-release testing.
