Hi All,
Below you can read the last thing I posted on my problem with mapguide
maestro. Unfortunately people stopped responding when the problem was
not solved after a suggestion or two. Clearly the downside of Open
Source. Don't get me wron, not blaming anybody, maybe it is my lack of

Maybe there are issues with your PHP installation? Try a phpinfo page in your
root MapGuide folder and see if the pathing and everything is correct. Maybe
you have another php instance that is causing a conflict?

Good suggestion
Tried it and everything looks like it is pointing to appropriate MGOS
directories.
Just as a note. This is a fresh install of Win2003 Server - MGOS was
the first and only thing to be installed (outside of adding IIS).

Hi Fraser,
Are there any exceptions logged in the MapGuide Server error log? If the Site
Administrator is sending request to the server, you should also see entries in
the MapGuide Server access log.

grown slightly. I suspect that the old data is still in the repository, can
anyone tell me how can I safely remove it?
Thanks!
Andy
Hi guys,
Still no luck.
No exceptions or errors in the logs or funny port settings in the config
files.
I Uninstalled, deleted the existing OSGEO folder, restarted,
reinstalled, restarted, logged into the site admin again and same thing
occurs.
I also tried replacing the mapadmin with
FYI - I've resolved this... annd some might call this a stupid mistake
on my part but for the record here is the solution:
This problem was with IE on server 2003 and had nothing to do with
mapguide. I needed to add my localhost to the trusted sites in the IE
security settings.

Can't you just use Studio to delete your old managed data source definitions?
Trying to do it from the file system level can be tricky but you can always
just do a search on the repository folder for *.sdf and *.shp to find all of
your managed files and manually delete them, but you really
Hi Andy,
I’m finding lots of things to like about Maestro including just discovering
that I can delete the old data by changing the resource temporarily back to
‘managed’ and deleting the .sdf file. Couldn’t see how to do this with Studio

Did you see that someone on the FDO-users list (Beppe?) came up with a
solution in a thread something like Mapguide OS and FDO? It turned
out to be a matter of using the correct postgres library version...
