I remember a client that told me that a ArcGis (9 or 10) had issues with
consuming WMS.
First, try with the WMS Client Gaia 3 to consume the WMS Service, it's free to
download and very easy to use.
If your mapguide WMS is correctly configured it must display maps.
If It's Ok check ArcGis

Version ?
Gaia and QGIS ask for version 1.3 systematically.
Maybe have you tried to ask to mapguide for an older version like 1.0 or other
in your URL config in ArcGIs

Does anyone know if tiled maps in MapGuide are compatible with the XYZ grid
scheme that can be consumed by facilities provided by Leaflet, OpenLayers or
any other mapping library that can consume tiled layers based on a XYZ grid?
ie. Does Z, X, Y in a XYZ tileset directly translate to
