Re: [mapguide-users] SDF convertion question
You could try using FDO Toolbox (http://fdotoolbox.googlecode.com) connecting to the text file via the ODBC Provider (see examples here: http://www.connectionstrings.com/textfile) and bulk copy it to a new SDF. RE: [mapguide-users] External SHP file Refresh?
I could be wrong, but I think the issue is with the connection and cached data. Updating (and I mean saving, not just previewing) the Data Connection in Studio attempts to drop any current connection data that are cached in the server because they are now out of date. The save should be part of the magic. You may be able to execute a save programmatically and achieve the same thing. [mapguide-users] CS-map question
I noticed that Proj4 will be replaced by CS-map in the upcoming release of MGOS. I plan a bigger project and i need to be sure that my coordinate system will be supported under CS-map in MGOS 2.1. Now,using Proj4,there is everything fine. The EPSG is 102065 or 102067. I didn't find it in this list http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/PROJ4toCS-MAP This coordinate system wasn't available immediately after installation in MGOS 1.2 - 2.0.2.. I had to add a definition to epsg file in nad folder. So maybe there is a way to add it to CS-map like i did in PROJ4. Honestly, i'm not really familiar with this SRS stuff so maybe i'm talking trash :-D I'd really appreciate any help. Just create a weblayout with nothing visible (the map is obviously always visible). Then you can provide all the stuff you want from Visual Studio (buttons, menus, etc.). Re[mapguide-users] quest for change the status bar to reflect the layer selected
Actually, the status bar in the ajax viewer only shows the amount of features selected. It would be great if it showed the name of the selected layer also. If there is many features selected on different layers, the behavior stays the same as actually. The modification is trivial In the mainframe.templ instead of having if(hasStatusbar == 1) sbFrame.SetFeatureSelectedMsg(FormatMessage((selCount > 1? "__#FEATURESSELECTED#__": "__#FEATURESELECTED#__"), new Array(selCount, "unused"))); we would have this if(hasStatusbar == 1) { var selLayers = GetMapFrame().GetSelectedLayers(); if(selLayers.length == 1) { sbFrame.SetFeatureSelectedMsg(FormatMessage("__#LAYERSELECTED#__", new Array(selCount, selLayers[0].legend))); } else { sbFrame.SetFeatureSelectedMsg(FormatMessage((selCount > 1? Nice idea. You could do the same with the runtime map, which would ease the pre-creation/modification of maps. Re: [mapguide-users] Show Multiple Properties for selection
There is a "One to many" / "Many to many" property on the FeatureSource. But as I understand it, joins are meant to supplement a feature with additional attributes. If my understanding holds, you can never have multiple rows attached to a single feature, and I am pretty sure that the viewer won't show it. If you obtain the join key, you can select the rows from the database, and display them. That will be much easier than trying to get the viewer to display these extra rows. Using MapGuide Studio 2009 I've made a data connection using the ODBC connection FDO (Connect via a DNS, connected to SQL Server database). The connection works (I am having some performance issues, but that belongs in another post). Next, I've joined this data using a one-to-many join with a SHP file (table from the shp file is the primary and data in the database is secondary). The join seems to work ok. However, when I use the standard Select tool, the properties pane will only show one of the records in the database, I believe the first entry. I want to display all of the records in the joined table. Does anyone know how I can display multiple records in the properties pane? I am using the standard ajax viewer.
