[mapguide-users] MGOS 2.5 Item xxxxx is already in the named collection.
Hi all Using Maestro 5 and MGOS 2.5 I can create new feature sources and layers from tables, but if I try to create a new layer based on a view I get this exception: System.Exception: The remote server returned an error: (559) MgFdoException.: An exception occurred in FDO component. If you look at this db through FDO Toolbox does the same error happen? - Jackie -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/MGOS-2-5-Item-x-is-already-in-the-named-collection-tp5079775p5079781.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users

I think i've seen something like this before. I was with SQLServer when 2 schema has the same table name. Re: [mapguide-users] MGOS 2.5 Item xxxxx is already in the named collection.
I forgot to write that I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 and the FDO SQL Spatial provider. The strange thing is that this table dbo.Indsatsplanområder is not part of the view that I try to create a layer for (none of the views has the same name as a table). Seems that MapGuide is generating a dictionary of table names and then adds the tables from the views and for some reason it tries to add the tables once more. This problem is not in MGOS 2.2. Re: [mapguide-users] MGOS 2.5 Item xxxxx is already in the named collection.
There has been a strong refactoring of this provider since MG 2.2 Fdo/Mapguide caches all tables structure into memory. So the problem may come from any other accessible tables/views Bruno -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/MGOS-2-5-Item-x-is-already-in-the-named-collection-tp5079775p5079790.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users

Hi Bruno I tried to rename both the table name and the view to have both unique names, but I still get this error. You need to stop/start mapguide everytime you change something in the schema structure to force Mapguide to clear its cache -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/MGOS-2-5-Item-x-is-already-in-the-named-collection-tp5079775p5079793.html Sent from the MapGuide Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ mapguide-users mailing list mapguide-users@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/mapguide-users

In the FDO Toolbox, if I try to expand the view it says Loading... but the column list never apprears. to clear the cache just save the feature source again, or use the flush cache option when you right click in maestro On Wed, Sep 25, 2013 at 7:06 PM, Hans Milling h...@geograf.dk wrote: Hi Brono I tried to restart the MapGuide service, also the entire server but still the same error.
