Hello Everyone:

Any help or sugestions on this matter would greatly be appreciated.

I have a series of aproximately 50, 1:12,500 colour airphotos flown by the New Brunswick in Eastern Canada. These photos are of a remote area so hence are comprised mostly of forest with lakes, swamp, logging roads, and cuttings. There is a slight overlap between airphotos for producing a stereographic effect.

My goal is to produce one image that can used in MapInfo, that will be spatially referenced (NAD 27 for Canada), to underlay our vector maps.

I was wondering what is the best format to scan these images into TIFF, JPEG ??

Is there software available to help me do this. I have read a little about Mr Sid, will this accomplish this task?

Will it be possible to produce this image with little or no distortion or is it wishfull thinking on my part?

Thank you in advance.
