Should I upload templates and extensions for testing?

In order to market the package productively, some input from the base

Hi :)
Yes, i think the idea is to test the site's uploading process to see if it's
reasonably easy for people to use.
If your templates and Extensions have not been through beta-testing yet then it
might be good to write that in the description or as a comment or something so
that when
Hi :)
People have said that in order to fix the current bugs in Base there is going
to involve improving and adding to the java that is used. This is going to be
quite confusing and messy because to take Base forwards we need to reduce the
amount of java overall.
If we could get enough devs

Hi Robert,
If there is a move away from java, that is going to make a significant
portion of that documentation obsolete. Is there anything
specifically related to the move away from java documented anywhere?
Any idea what the API is going to be to
Tom, who gets to upload all the 180+ dictionaries that are out there

there are the 4 French, an Italian, a Russian, plus maybe a few more

Hi :)
Hopefully someone might find a way of doing that from 1 server (OOo's?) to
another (LO's) rather than having to download to a desktop machine and then
re-upload. Apparently right now there is no good way of doing bulk
uploads/transfers but maybe after the site has been beta-tested?

Hi :)
Ok, there seems to be several different issues floating around about Base.
Who is the questionnaire going to be filled in by?
Are we going to manage to get people that don't use LibreOffice because there
is no database program? I think that is the group that would give us the best
Hi :)
I think there is an opportunity here. Effectively whichever back-end gets
chosen will be getting a big publicity scoop.
Even the runners-up could benefit from having tighter integration with Base and
a stack of free publicity from the press as they hear about the competition /
Well since OOo's Extension site is offline, last time I checked, someone
could take them from the LibreOffice-NA.US domain and upload them to
LO's Extension site.
Still, there should be a category called Dictionaries. That would make
it easier for people to find them. Language Tools or
People may need more than a month to do the coding work, with all the
testing, etc.. But it would be interesting to see something like this
being done.

Early concept. A lot of room for tweaking.
Shorter and faster is more fun and exciting. LO is dynamic and responsive.
More than 2 or 3 months might look like we are trying to take advantage.
Also the competition is not about getting everything 100% working. Whoever won

yes, but be aware they'll stay if we change from beta to final state ;-)
Thus we need a contact (email or project site) for every extension / template.

Just FYI, the OOo extensions we-page is NOT reliable. The link in LibO

BTW I go to University and, sadly, MS Office docx format is a
