I think that if we are to be realistic, then the use of English has been
established for a long time as a de facto universal means of communicaton!
So, I don't honestly believe that the use of any other language would
work.It just could not serve our main purpose!
Just one more thought:

Hi :)
I think David was just making a humorous remark. It did make me laugh. As
people have said, it might be a nightmare to change from English now. We do
have to accept that people speak English differently so we have to give each
other a bit of leeway.

Hi :)
Drew has done a few things and put them on the wiki somewhere. I think other
people have done things to. There were an excellent couple of videos made by a
Vietnamese chap and some stuff has appeared on YouTube.
It's an excellent idea. What sort of objective were you aiming for?

Hello,
I agree with the ideas of Florian at several points and follows a few more
ideas:
- There is no language problem at the local level, provided they have at
least one staff who speaks English.
- As for elections, I also believe that if a person is working well, no need
to elect a new, other

Hi :)
Mostly +1 but youthful energy and optimism can be a huge bonus too.
Meetings with powerful external organisations might benefit from having 2 or
maybe 3 people. Ideally with some sort of rough game-plan in advance of the
meeting so that a united front can be shown while still showing

Hello,
although we are right before the 2011 LibOCon, I think it would be
helpful for the 2012 team to be on site and work jointly with this
years' organizers. This has been proven very well in the past.
So, shall we draft a call for location for 2012 already?

The event III Free Software Meeting - UNESP was excellent. During the two
days I've been very involved with the event. Next year should be even
greater. Eliane again showed his strength to all those present, to give two
lectures one after another.

Wait, wait...
At the moment, we are discussing, whether we should issue a call for
location for 2012.
We need to define a set of criteria, a jury and a deadline, and then
organizers can apply. That's the way it should work ;)

I indeed would like to do the *opposite*, by encouraging local teams to

I agree with Florian on this point.
In this kind of international conferences, it is often announced where
the next year
event will be held at the end of the conference this year.
So if we have enough resources, we'd better starting next year plan now.
