Thanks a lot! Some good, clear screenshots there too. I'll talk with

Yes, we include the marketing list, because we're having a discussion on
the marketing list, and want to see what others think! If you don't want
these messages, you can unsubscribe from the list (which would be a
shame!) or change to "digest" mode, so you get a summary once a week.

Screenshots: I can start on this ASAP and provide 4-5 screenshots for each of
the Writer, Impress, and Calc programs. As I understand the idea is to show the
capability of the software to handle various complex tasks. I will aim to
provide this to you latest by Monday (10th) afternoon India time, let me know

Video: Given my video editing skills are not up to the mark, it will be good if
someone more experienced can work with me, I am happy to provide the different
video snippets of what's new in the new version.

Local Marketing Activities: I am currently based in Mumbai (India) but starting
end of next week would travel extensively until the end of the year in the US,
Canada and India. During this time, I will be visiting family members and
attending to some personal affairs. But, I am happy to support any local
marketing remotely until I find my next long term station.

Great -- thanks! We're working on a new website, and the front page has
a few screenshots from the various components of LibreOffice:

https://newdesign2.libreoffice.org/refs/heads/master/

We'd like some more though, eg showing charts in Calc, or more complex
layouts in Writer. If you could create some (which we can then also use
on social media and in other marketing activities), we'd really
appreciate them!

If you could provide some more details about the videos and local marketing
activities, I can see how I can help.

For every major release, we make videos showing some of the new
features, like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PC8M4UzqpqE

(Thanks to the Indonesian community for the huge help here.) We also
have a general "This is LibreOffice" video which is quite old now, that
we'd like to update:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KC0ZdcA6s8

It can be quite short, just explaining what LibreOffice is, its benefits
and how to get it. If you're interested in helping with a new version,
that'd be great!

And for local marketing activities: whereabouts are you based, if you
don't mind sharing? We're helping local "liaisons" to grow LibreOffice
communities in various places around the world, but of course it's a big
planet and there are lots of places we'd still like to reach...

Thanks again for offering to help, Anshuman :-)

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I can definitely help with the screenshots for the website. Please feel free to
share the relevant URLs that need attending, and I can get on with this task as
soon as possible.
If you could provide some more details about the videos and local marketing
activities, I can see how I can help.

Kind Regards,
Anshuman

Thanks very much for your support! There are many things we'd like to
do, including new videos (a general one showing what LibreOffice is),
updated screenshots for the website, and local marketing activities
(especially outside of Europe, where many in the team are based).

Let me know if you'd like to help out with any of these things -- that
would be great!

Hello Mike,
This is indeed amazing. I had been following some of these developments last
year, and to see all of this guided by a strategic vision to grow the brand
both in awareness and adoption is very impressive.
As we know you and the team is busy with the annual report, if there's anything
I can help you and the team with meanwhile, please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Ansh

[libreoffice-marketing] LibreOffice Marketing Activities – Annual Report 2022

2023-06-23 Thread Mike Saunders

Hi everyone,

We just posted this on the blog, summarising our marketing activities
last year. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2023/06/23/libreoffice-marketing-activities-annual-report-2022/

And of course, we're always happy to hear more suggestions and ideas for
marketing LibreOffice (and the community behind it) around the world.
Let us know your feedback :-)
