I am glad that there is some recognition here, of the qualitatively new phenomenon that went to the streets yesterday. When this issue was raised on the list recently, there was a lot of push-back on simple common-sense. No doubt there will still be that same push-back. What is the saying - the masses are ahead of the party (could substitute enlightened leftists)? No doubt these marches, are a long way from an understanding of the need for socialism. But - I am sure it is a 'starter' phenomenon.
