Interesting article. It argues that Saudi Arabia flooded the market with their oil reserves in order to drive down the price of oil. This was intended to undermine fracking that costs $60 per barrel as against $7 for natural oil. It was also intended to undermine Iran. The Saudis used oil as a weapon to inhibit Iran's ability to finance Shia militias in the region. In doing this, the Saudis ended up making Venezuela collateral damage. Anyhow, that's what the article claimed.
