iding the general "Save file position" setting per file. (A similar
override feature for autoindent would be handy. If I'm pasting formatted
text with the mouse, I hate to have to turn off autoindent altogether. A
hotkey would be great!)

The groff feature has been there for many years. I agree, it's an
annoyance when viewing logrotate files, but it's minor and the benefit
is worthwhile.

Shift-F6, although I seem to have problems with that in certain
terminals, notably GNU screen(1). It's not in the pull-down menu,
though.
