Last note: Even though this pach (when complete) will
probably be disabled by default ( people really _should_
use the shell to update xterm title) it should at least
be the well written!

I love the idea - for a while, I was using emacs as the
viewer to get the syntax highlighting! Actually, (not
to complicate your simple (and probably quite do-able))
idea, I wonder if the range of colors could be expanded
to the pallete also(am i getting greedy?)
I am using It will be nice to know what kind of compiler does

I'm at the moment going to test compilation with various versions of
automake/gcc on solaris.
Since I got the problem on both Solaris 8 9, it's probably more
related to the combination of versions
of the below gnu

didn't make a difference configure/build inside/outside source tree

8 9 x86 w/ X11R6-4.1.0, 4.2.0,
openwindows and openwindows with XF86 porting.
Terminals: xterm, rxvt, gnome terminal for the moment

working on the last patch - Solaris x86 uses
SA_RESTART in sys/signal.h rather than SA_INTERRUPT.
There's an #ifdef SA_RESTART earlier in the code I'm inserting into
the refresh function to get around SA_INTERRUPT
but it just hangs indefinetely without so far
