I have a couple of Dell Precision T5600 workstations that I cannot get the
Apply Operating System step of a Task Sequence to complete on. This is what
appears in the smsts.log file...
Failed to open “Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion”
and
Installation of image
Can you attach the full smsts.log? One single line out of context doesn't help
much.

Attached is the full log file:
Some more information to this; this wim works on all other machines it's a
brand new wim that was recently captured. Our Precisions have xeon processors
in them. Im thinking that wim file might be suspect
Thanks in Advance Josh

It cannot find the image file on the DP. It is also set to run from the
network, is this intended? This setting is on the Options tab of the Apply OS
step in your TS.
Can you verify the image is properly distributed to the DPs? You may want to
check any network settings at the time it fails
We have unchecked that box on the step to force it download the wim first
locally then apply. Still the same result. Redistributing the wim file to the
dps now...

I remember having some issues with Precision T5500 (3 hd - raid0 on sata1-2,
ssd on sata0), was trying to image that ssd.
At the end, I gave up and disabled sata1 and sata2 drives in bios, then image,
then enable them back.
Do you happen to have multiple drives in your systems?

Funny you say that we have a T5500 with the same issue, only one SSD drive
though...
