MDT is mostly SQL agnostic, meaning it will work with almost any version, any type. 2012, 2014, 2016... Express, whatever.

The only thing I see is guidance on doing SQL 2012, but I've personally used SQL 2014. Is SQL 2016 supported for the MDT database? I assume it will work just fine. Brian
