The last three miles of my
daily drive the next 26 weeks is up the steepest state maintained road in NC
(In low gear and steady speed around 20mpg I'm sitting on about 3000 rpm for
about 9 minutes). That would probably be ideal conditions to do some engine
damage.

The only time this would damage anything is if you have a bad
injector. That could burn out a prechamber. Else it's fine -- make

There are many pros, no cons I can think of. They are probably the best
cars MB ever made. Mine gets 33mpg, has plenty of power, drives very
nice, no problems. If it really has 45k on it I would figure it would
sell for 8k plus.

When mine bends the rods, which it could have, who knows, I plan on
either dropping in the 3.5 I have sitting in the garage, or dropping a
606 turbo in it.

Yes, it was fixed after production of the cars ended. If it has a recent
factory replacement engine it should be fine.

I used to have one of these (although it was a 1990); I sold it to Ok Don. I
would really like another if that is any indication how good I think they are.

Before I call and go to look at the vehicle, what are the listers experiences

Seriously anywhere from 5k on up. That kind of low mileage is a dream.
Engine is pretty solid as it is like 3rd generation. Minuses? Stinking

believe it's any fun to change heater core or A/C evaporator in
that chassis, and IIRC the evap is not known for longevity.
