(I do not know if Steve answers Emails or if his wife Judy does, but I would
think the latter.)
The car is a 1981 240D, w-Stick, 83-84K miles, dark blue with a tan
interior. Per Steve the inside is clean, the seats are good, and it runs
good. Steve said that he will have any outside body issues cleaned up
before it is sold.
It had been sitting for about 5 years so Steve said that he will be doing a
major service on the car before he sells it. That should mean a fluid and
filter change through out (radiator, tranny, power steering, brake fluid,
etc..) and valve adjustment although he mentioned that the oil would need a
changed in about 3,500 miles so that should be more recent. He will do a
R-134a conversion and the A/C will be blowing cold. Don't know his schedule
for these services but that could depend on interest.
His asking price is $4,500
I'll look it over the next time I am at or near his place but it could still
be in work. It was not in his shop building this past week when I had the
83 300SD there to be checked out. Interest in the vehicle should determine
when he takes time away from his other repair work to finish this car.
