I don't know of an official WMS server from openstreetmap and
wms.openstreetmap.org doesn't even seem to exist.
Where did you find reference to this WMS? Are you sure of the address?

I just commited a patch that remove feature destructors cleanups (that
shouldn't be necessary anymore) that lead to those closing-time
crashes.
Could you please test and check for adverse effects.
