going on here?

Getting a list of the files in the same directory as the running
standalone, via a script, is a snap (get the files). How could I
get a listing of the files in a different directory? I've tried the
obvious (get the files of directoryPath, get the files of directory
xxx, etc.)

Thanks for the tip below; my custom cursor does show
up now, but it doesn't look anything like what I
imported in. I copied the hand cursor from Supercard
with a screen grabber, and made a gif out of it. Then
I imported that into a clone of the cursors stack that
