here is a little pixvu-app that i wrote for myself,
because i needed it but mainly because it is so much FUN to
make stuff like this with MetaCard :)
Maybe this is of some use fore some of you,
maybe someone comes up with a better or smarter solution
or a hint on how

what about using the tempname() and extracting the first item after setting
the
itemdel to /. This is built into MC and chances are good (but maybe not
100%)
that this is the right HD. At least the bootvolume.

the best solution (MC-based, always best ;-) is a btn
with this tiny script:
on mouseUp
answer file "What stack may i open for you, beloved?"
if it is not empty then
try --give it a try...
toplevel it --go to this stack...
.
(If he finds the time ;-)

on whatsoever
set the looping of player xxx to true
start player xxx
end whatsoever
should do the trick.
If you really want to hear that sound/song for exactly
ten times, a bit more tricky scripting with the "send"- command will be
necessary.
