Hello All!
There is a classification typo concerning the Dhofar 021 chondrite
in MAPS 36-9, 2001, p. A166. In their abstract, Harold Povenmire and
Michael Blood describe this meteorite as an H4-5 whereas the Met.Bull.
No. 84, 2000 August, A210 describes it as an H5-6:

I just came across someone who has a specimen of Somervell pallasite - I
have never heard of this material and notice in the catalog of meteorites
that it has a small TKW of 11.8kg.
Anyone else out there know anything about it or has any?
thanks!

is the magnetite particles of possible biological origin.
Their structure and chemistry suggest that they may have been
formed with the assistance of primitive, bacteria-like living organisms.
They are about 200 µm in diameter. The orange

pallasite that so far has been stable (could be the pallasite, could be the
preparation). The piece I have is around a couple grams and looks to be
mostly olivine with not a lot of metal. I did a bit of searching and am

Mine's about the same as Rhett's, except about 50-50 metal and olivine. I've
had it a couple of years in Georgia humidity, and it's held up fine.

Good Evening All;
I just arrived home from a wonderful few days at the Tucson show, where I
caught up with some old friends, met many new ones, and saw some incredible
meteorites! I've posted some preliminary pictures at
http://www.meteoritecentral.com/tucson_1.html . I hope you all enjoy them!
