G'day Tom and List,
I have to say that since I was not there, I too cannot say what it was. I
have however been under plane shadows many times; both large and small; low
and high altitudes. As a pilot I find that it is pretty obvious when it's a
plane shadow. You can usually make out the shape no

I really enjoy all the meteorite information provided by the list.
Since today is the first day of Kwaanza and the first day represents umoja (unity) I
would
like to encourage each and every member of the list to show their appreciation for the
list and to show our umoja.
Happy Holidays, Merry
Rick,
Are you sure it is acceptable to let your umoja be seen in public?

Hello People,
I was just surfing through ebay and
noticed a "Gujba" (bencubbinte). The Cambridge EOM says that this is a
Mesosiderite while this guy on ebay says it is a metal-rich carbonaceous chondrite? Can anyone enlighten me any further on
this?
Just
wondering,
Rex
It is a Bencubbinite, VERY rare carbonaceous
metal-rich chondrite.
Unlike any other meteorite, small balls of metal.

Hello List,
The page I was refering to in theC.E.o.M. is
#159. I had assumed that since Bencubbin was an anomalous meteoritethat
maybe it set a precedent and that bencubbinite was a type of meteorite by
itself. I was just a littleconfused and still am. What I mean is if

frankly, I'm scared! :)
Seriously, is there a calendar of events for us newbies? I need to start
