Hi
As some of you may remember, some time ago I was asking questions about making a
meteorite database.
Now it is reality.
Have a look, and let me know what you think.
I am open for ideas to make it even better.

This is a followup to Bob's comments in reference to guessing the types of
terrestrial rock we've seen lately on the list. By the way, I love some of
earth's finest rocks...so I do not look down at them at all...but they are
not from other planets/sources.

There is another basaltic Shergottite of about 88 grams from Antarctica that

Hi there list. I see everyone giving different dates as to when they started collecting meteorites. Mine was 1999. I saw an ad in sky % telescope for meteorite sales. And I have always wanted to own a piece of rock from space That is when I saw an ad from BOB HAAG meteorites. So I sent my first

Hi All,
Looks like we have some old collectors out there errr.I mean people that have

I have two questions that I have been meaning to ask the list
for a while now.
First question: I like to use my new reference "Catalogue of
Meteorites" by Monica Grady to zero in on what is known of particular
meteorites. I am aware of the section in the back listing Sahara's and subgroups
The book was published before the NWA started, that
is why none are listed there.
As for the CR2, yes they are paired. They all come
from near Zagora and many numbers have been given to them.
Mike Farmer
But there are several CR2 meteorites that are not
paired.

I have been at collecting for about 4 years after finding some of the most
convincing meteorwrongs you'll ever see. Someday I'll get them up on web for
you all to see. It turned out to be a rocky-like slag that had a lot of flux
in it from oldtime smelting. Melted surfaces

Is Dag 975 one of the 2 already paired Martian meteorites that you were
referring to? I didn't see it on your web page as being paired with Dag 476
and co.
