On that note:
I have tried all sorts of exotic anti-rusting methods but definitely the
best is :
Brush off all the rust with a wire brush, mix some methylated spirits
with Sodium Hydroxide (caustic soda) (about 3 Table spoons to 1 pint)
mix and soak the iron in it for at least a couple of

I am not sure you have all seen the news, but a
massive terrorist attack has occurred in Madrid. I always stay near the Atocha

Bob,
The biggest one I have applied this treatment to, was a ~1kg campo that
belongs to Dave Harris, as far as I know it is still stable (Dave?),
though with that one I also coated the exterior with a protective
coating I did a Nantan for him in the same way, that was really sick.

Manganese nodules are very interesting ocean phenomena. If youknew your oceanography theirwould have be no confusion. They are not that rare on the bottom of the ocean but maybe in mineral collections. He clearly states this as a meteorite likewrong, so this isn't a fraud. This is much like the
Hi John, Bob and List,
As Bob mentioned, I'm using an old dinosaur of a GPS -- one of
the old Garmin 45's. While this unit has served me well for
a decade, it has many limitations which are forcing me to get
a replacement this year. Its most important drawback is pitiful
memory -- it will only
If someone has already done the legwork
on evaluating Garmin and Magellan models and knows which units
are compatible with these requirements, I'm all ears.
I'd be interested, too. I did find this GPS Comparison site:

I vote for the RHINO series of personal communicators. They have 2-5 mile
walkie talkie range and built in 12 channel WAAS GPS.
The BEST part is that they can signal each other and relay the GPS
coordiantes to one anotherreal handy if your separated into groups and
out of line of site. With

Hello List
Ialso don't think that "glassface1" is a bad person to say,
and is not selling real meteorites.
I call David H. Fell Company inc. and told them about glassface1 and

after checking with there lab people and returned withthis info.
Ron and others:
I have to agree with Mark Ford in that the news briefs coming out of these NASA
announcements about the rover status (and the music played to each one) tells us
almost nothing about what
they are finding up there. Is the information somewhere else on the net that we can go
