Dear List Members,
I have 32 outstanding auctions ending in a few hours. I concentrated on
rarity and size this week so you will find these to be of the greatest
interest. You may want to take the time to check these out because there are

Hi All,
I had a funny thing happen as I was flying out from Tucson Sunday
evening. Apparently one of the items banned from carry-on luggage is a
hammer. I usually don't carry one with me when I fly so I was unaware
of this restriction. However, I do agree with the TSA in their
decision. You know,
Martin,
Thanks for sharing this story! This made my Monday!

I had a related experience a couple of years ago. I

Hi All,
I checked my link to the Brenham hammerhead and COA pic and found that
more than a few of you have clicked on it. Enough to exceed the free
bandwidth quota. Sorry about that.
Anyway, I moved the pic to another server, one with considerably more
bandwidth. I'll pull the pic in a few days,

Hi! With high hopes, I placed a few absentee bids on some of the lots in

Hi Martin and fellow listees;
Your story had a happy ending but others have not been so fortunate. I
think some of us have had meteorites confiscated if I recall some posts
years ago.
This time, I packed my larger acquisitions in a suitcase with dirty
laundry but unfortunately was not able to

Hello List,
Back from 4 days at the show. It was a great time, beautiful weather and
plenty of dealers with plenty of meteorites to peruse. I can say that after
only a few years of collecting its not easy to find the next perfect
specimen for my collection. I like oriented stones so that

I've discarded hundreds of rusty artifacts found in old dumps and the PF

Dear Bill, List;
I think that the artifacts are more since they were found by a famous
meteorite hunter on a fantastic voyage to stardom. This phenomena is
not unlike the gold rush a couple of years ago to collect specimens of
