It wouldn't be practical to melt meteorites to make musket balls. That's
not to say that iron meteorites couldn't be used as ammunition just as they
are. The blunderbuss had a large enough bore and muzzle to accpt smaller
meteorites as is. In fact it wasn't uncommon for users of the blunderbu

Hi Greg,
It's not instant gratification I want, I am just curious about these
falls and want to know more about them. Cartersville fell over a year
ago. And it's been over 6 months since Lorton. I understand that
Lorton is tied up legally, so it's not available for analysis. It's
been 3 months
I do not understand the impatience these days...let the scientists perform
their work without the instant gratification a few individuals want.

Ok I agree what is the hold up? What is the lack of enthusiasm? Why
are the people who do the classification work not excited to produce
results? Is there something about a meteorite that falls from space to
the earth that is not exciting?

Hi Steve.
Not quite sure where you are getting your age information from, as all except
the statement of the biblical calculation is incorrect. The age of the universe
and so the age of Hydrogen, is pretty well pinned down.
It is known that the universe is approximately 13,750,000,000 years old
