In his Sheba; through the desert in search of the legendary Queen, (Boston: Houghton Mifflin; 2001), Nicholas Clapp remarks on p.112:, "I hiked the rim of a crater where a primordial meteor had once smashed into the Negev."  Simply this, nothing more.  I have been unable to find out anything about a fossil impact structure in southeastern Israel on the border of northwestern Saudi Arabia, either confirmed or not proven.  I would appreciate any information or reference source any list member might provide or could direct me to.  To avoid cluttering up the list with non-meteorite matter, please respond off-list to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]    With many thanks and a Happy New Year to all.  David Skene-Melvin
