Short answer if the data is correct on weight and diameter : No! Slightly longer answer : No, it's too light. The density of the sphere is only 4.2 kg/dm3. If it was Iron and nickel it should have a density of 7.8 kg/dm3. To me it looks like a sphere of pyrrhotite or nickel ore, hard to tell

Hello Darren, Pete, Jörn and List, ... my opinion this is a fraud. This sphere rather looks like some terrestrial ore. My guess is that what the seller is offering is a (partially corroded) Nantan (IIICD). partially corroded ... this would explain the lower than expected density of the item
