I can not answer the number of collectors/ dealers question you proposed, BUT
as a collector/hunter I can tell you that I personally do not have very many
meteorites in my own personal collection. And i have never sold one. Of the
ones I do have, only about 4 have been purchased through

Meteorites have been a good investment for me, especially very long-term. I
certainly do not make a fortune on them but they have outperformed everything
else. Banks are virtually paying zero interest, precious metals are on dump,

I personally am a small time collector. I am NOT EVEN CLOSE to
being even comfortably well off! I just retired actually from a medium
income job after 35 years. I'm O.K. with that. I don't try to keep up
with the Jones' but I like to buy when I can. I find these space
