Hey all,
As a non-hunter (except for a couple of unsuccessful attempts) I've been
interested like everyone else on the list to hear how the hunt is going and to
see the stones as they get announced.
Numerous requests have gone out for maps of the strewnfield and all of them
have met with
The NPR radio program Whad'Ya Know? yesterday had Brooke Norsted, Assistant
Director of the UW Geology Museum on the program yesterday. The program itself
comes from Madison, Wisconsin.
Her segment came on 6 minutes 45 seconds into the third half hour of the
program and lasts 10.5 minutes.
I found the video report that is being run on CNN today. It isn't yet on the
CNN site (as far as I can tell) but this is the same report without the CNN
tags.

Good afternoon Folks,
That video clip is absolutely cute, at the end!!!

I think in the past it was much funner to name meteorites. What's wrong
with Eagles Nest?
A great name back in 1960 and was classified right here in the USA. As we
all know it was named because it was found lying next to an eagles nest.
this reminds me of a practice that was done some years

Interesting fact: Friends owned a 90 acre farm in Iowa county, which is the

With only two pieces reported so far, that would be a strewn line segment.
Of course, there could be a bonanza not being reported yet.
S... That's TOP SECRET info... No one will be releasing that anytime
soon... ;) Really...
To map a strewnfield, you have to know where it is. In other words only
a few stones being recovered doesn't really amount to a mapped
strewnfield just yet. We all have radar, and a general idea of

Livingston looks like the perfect search area, nothing but farm fields all
around. The problem is the tilling of the soil is in full swing and most
farmers I know are averse to strangers traipsing around in their fields
while they're planting corn and beans.
