These are great news indeed! Thanks, Sean, for forwarding them, and
congratulations to Robert Ward!
An obviously dramatical witnessed CM fall, that's really the stuff dreams
are made
Hello Robert, Brien and all of you lucky and happy finders!
Wow! Sincere congratulations on your Californian gold rush finds!
Such a fresh and scientifically important CM fall and its immediate
recovery will surely have a tremendous impact on meteorite science.
I can hardly wait to see it
It is an honor to announce that, at 11:00 am local, Robert Ward was the
first to recover a stone from the April 22, 2012, California fireball --
which was evidently generated by a large, carbonaceous CM mass. Robert is
now responsible for the initial recovery of two-out-of-three-ever
Way to go Robert! You're the Man!

Hi List and Robert,
Congratulations to Robert Ward on recovering another meteorite fall,
and a rare carbonaceous type to boot. Outstanding.
With Ward and crew on the job, we can assume the strewnfield will be
mapped out and scientific protocol will be followed during the
recovery.
I can't wait
Greetings all,
Congrats on the find Robert. Wondering what the price will be on this
material. If new falls of ordinary chondrites are going for over
$100/gram, a CM should go for 5 to 10 times more. Hopefully there will
be a great amount of material found and the price will be affordable to
Steve,
The Sherbinator never did respond to my email offering expertization either
at my home or with the crew at UCLA.
A year to get it checked out? Maybe a year to get a real meteorite
characterized,
but a lot of meteor-wrongs can be identified in a few minutes!

Hello list.I have decided that I am going to return the piece back to DAS
SHERBINATOR!!He has said, that he will refund my money. But what is really
stupid is that he said, that it would take a year to get IT (CHECKED OUT)
for scientific reasons.I know that it does not take a year to get a
Hi All,
As I reported earlier, seeing Columbia reenter this past Saturday
was not my primary reason for being in the Mojave Desert -- I was
actually heading up there to do some meteorite field recovery work
for the day. I did find one new meteorite of just over 100 grams,
and have scanned in

Hi All,
As I reported earlier, seeing Columbia reenter this past Saturday
was not my primary reason for being
that I would never try to profit from it.
If I can help in any way let me know.
