If all goes as planned without weather delays, the 1st landing attempt will
produce sonic booms over WI. That would be the second time within a week

Well, it's been 48 hours since I landed the 747 with the shuttle Atlantis on
top and I am still buzzing from the experience. I have to say that my whole
mind, body and soul went into the professional mode just before engine start in
Mississippi, and stayed there, where it all needed to

BAFFLING PROBLEM COULD PROMPT SHUTTLE FUELING TEST

After a long weekend of troubleshooting, engineers have not found an
obvious problem that might explain why one of four hydrogen fuel sensors
failed to operate properly during the shuttle
To me, the ISS has been just about the polar opposite of the
mind-blowingly-successful Mars rovers--
the ISS has seemed to be a nearly total disaster all along the way.

I apologize if this is a duplicate posting to some/all of you, but personally I never
received it after originally sending it about 8:15 CST last night, so here it is

Since sending the original email last night, I uploaded a few images at (long URL,

Dear List,
With the caveat that the following is based on the original
flight procedures manual for the orbiter which have been modified
in detail over the years, here's the sequence of significant
flight events after leaving orbit.
After the OMS de-orbit burn, the hypergolic propellants
