Fight Over Meteorite Crashes Into Court

My opinion, by busting through the roof, it did more then imbed itself into the
the building. It put a hole in it.
Case closed.
Who paid for the damage that was caused? the land owner or doctors?

If declared by the judge as so, would this mean meteorites found on top of the
ground, and not imbeded into the ground on federal lands would now not belong
to landowner (U.S. Govt)?
I wonder what the Smithsonian's stance is on this issue will be when their

Hi to all, I am happy to announce that NWA 6291 is an awesome and very rare
angrite.
I have several very nice slices for sale including one of the 4 translucent
slices. After extensive research, I have not been able to come across any
angrite that has offered translucent crystals and slices

I agree that the Mercury connection is up in the air at this point, but its a
neat idea of the parent body.
As for the Translucent crystals, I am talking about being able to show

Hello Greg, All,
Sheesh...you might read that paragraph again. The Hupe's don't sell

Hi Greg, Jason and List,
Well, regardless of what the parent body is, that is a spectacular meteorite.
Congratulations are in order again for Greg - you hit the Moroccan
Lottery with that one. :)
I am very curious about the parent bodies of all meteorites, and I
wish we knew exactly where all
Hello Anne,
A beautiful example!
I'd like to stress the fact that I'm not trying to put Greg's Angrite
down in any way - it's just that there *are* other Angrites that
display translucent crystals (clearly)...and they probably aren't from
Mercury.

Hi Jason and List,
I do not refute Melinda Hutson's article that was never peer reviewed and
contains several errors according to the classifying scientists. I asked
scientists about the article and they stated, it is obvious that she didn't

Hello Listers,
I would have to say NWA 2999 and the other Angrites that might have a
connection to Mercury in fairness is speculative, like with the rest of the
meteorites that can’t be traced back to a parent body because of the lack of
physical evidence. This was also true with the Moon and

To answer Michael Blood's question the 52 kilo mass was found by
Shauna and I, We left the mass in the ground until Shauna found Mike
and Jim, called the land owners and had them bring there families out
to the site so that everyone could share in this momentous occasion.

While its certainly no surprise that news reports sometimes do not reflect the
true circumstances of an event, it takes nothing away from that marvelous find.
Congrats to Shauna and you, as well as Mike and Jim for your work in
